29. "Civic hatch is definitely polarizing" In response to In response to 28
I don't mind the sedan, though the design is a bit busy. The hatch starts to bring on the ugly with too many creases and faux plastic vents. The SI and Type R just go for ALL THE WINGS AND VENTS and really looks overdone, or what a 10 year old thinks a Gundam pilot would drive on his off days. Had they made the sedan a big hatch (like the A7 or UK Mondeo) I think it would have worked and looked much better
You can see some of the Civic upscaled to Accord size, but it got a bit distorted in the process. The front end looks horrible. I realize you have to feed air to the radiator and intercooler, since they are going all turbo, but it looks like somebody kicked out some of the grill slats in the process. Considering how many years Acura screwed up their front fascias on their cars, I don't hold out much hope the redesign will look much better. We'll see in 18 months when they fast track a fix.
Interior looks quite nice though, Kudos for having what look like real knobs for volume and tuning, which should be written into law. Take away all the other buttons if you must and add all of the laggy screens you think people want. Leave the volume and tuning on knobs.
