I'm not about ridiculing them - because we should all endeavor to have a lighter impact on the environment. The factory farming of animals for food is one of the largest contributors to climate change/global warming - so we should all be encouraging each other to mitigate our animal intake.
A cultural vegetarian is likely somebody who endeavors to live a lifestyle of conscious consumption - but eats meat on occasion. To me - this type of behavior should be encouraged as it's much more realistic to encourage people to mitigate their animal consumption as it is to convince them to go strict vegetarian/vegan.
