Hell, I've had more positive interactions with police overall, but those negative interactions ALWAYS stick out, because "they're supposed to help us anyway, that's their job" which can be a bit conflicting.
When my young homeboy got killed last Summer, it was....shit, everything you can imagine. But the cops, Gardena P.D. (not part of L.A.P.D. or the Sheriff), were VERY helpful from start to finish. The day it happened, I was talking to them, just telling them what kind of kid he was, and how their family was. Yet.....next door to him is the "STAY WOKE!!!!" neighbor who was talking MAJOR shit to them the entire time. He was yelling at them at times, and of course he's the idiot that got to speak to the media as well.
