Like...if your dad has been there forever, down for you, and you're mad at him because he forgot to pay your cell phone bill (assuming you're a kid) and you're PISSED at him, and someone says "chill, that's your dad," it basically means "They do so much for you, this is minor as hell...relax."
I think the difference in "that's your daddy" vs "that's STILL your daddy" can be different, too. I've never ever been told "that's STILL your daddy" but I have been told to chill on some "that's your dad/mom, you're trippin!!!" when I was just pissed at them for shit that wasn't even serious.
