a dozen eggs costs about $1.50.
a breakfast sandwich w/eggs has more going on that just the eggs - there are other ingredients (often bread, meat and cheese products) plus there is a fair amount of labor involved. i can justify paying $3 or $4 for a breakfast sandwich.
but a bowl of cereal where i'm putting in all of the labor and the only ingredients are the cereal(s), milk (it may be flavored, depending), and some toppings (various syrups, candies, fruit, et al)...i'm not paying $4+ (depending on toppings, milk and cereal a bowl can cost as much as $15, btw). other ppl seem willing to do so...not me. i dunno that there are enough ppl willing to pay those prices for a bowl of cereal on a regular basis to sustain that biz model on a wide scale. i can't tell if the joint is open anywhere but if so there's a location in the DFW Airport and in a hospital in Virginia. this is after the joints had been open in other places like here in Illinois and out in Cali, i think. so i dunno. i don't see it myself but the world is full of biz ideas i didn't see that have worked out great. *shrugs*
