i didnt want to lose myself in marriage
the first year was about being the husband i thought she needed
but there were things i was doing just to make her happy and i was not getting anything from it
i readjusted and kind of starting working on myself because i knew that would be a better way to go about happiness
explained this to her and havent really had any issues since

also make sure you show her your feelings
being a good man is not synonymous with being a good husband
