1. I found an African-centric private school for my wee one. Only 5 minutes away from the crib. I'm so excited to check it out. My cousin-in-law's son goes there. He raves about it. So, I think starting this fall, the munchkin will be in private school. Its so freakin affordable, I'm drooling. Thank you St. Sya Academy of Durham.

2. Hubby is going back and forth with himself about why he should or shouldn't work for an idiot. Long story short, he got re-org'd and they moved him to a different position. Its higher up in the company, but the person he's under is a proven idiot, he will no longer work under his mentor who was an immense help at keeping the hubby away from the hoard so that he could concentrate on his own work and not be shipped out to do everyone else's work...he's basically "The Fixer" at his company. And, they changed his job title and it makes it look like he's taking a step back. Oh, and they are giving him a measly raise. I'm predicting by the end of next week, he will start entertaining job offers.

3. My 'rents come in today. They called me about a half hour ago to say they just left Cleveland (they are traveling from the Mitten to NC). My house is damn near spotless!!!!! My OCD-like hubby is in heaven because this is probably the cleanest its been since my mom in law moved in and since the munchkin was born. I think I'm going to celebrate my victory with a lunch with my munchkin aka Chick-Fil-A.

4. My 'rents are stopping in for a couple of days to spoil their grandchild, then they are on their way to Panama City Fl for a jazz festival with my Godfather and his lovely MSU alum (love that woman) wife. I told my dad that they didn't have to go all the way to Florida for jazz. The Art of Cool (which my hubby and I will be going to) is next weekend here in Durham.

5. I'm looking forward to having lunch with one of my grad school buddies. We try to at least have lunch every few months to keep each other in the loop. Love that woman!!! She makes me realize that some friends will stay friends even if you don't talk to them every day. But, most of my close friends are like that. Even though we do keep in touch via Spacebook.
