88. "I got the first grant I applied for..." In response to In response to 0
well...this is my second time applying for it. The first time I bullshitted the application so hard that when I was told no, I wasn't surprised. I just assumed that a lot of ppl wouldn't apply. (Just like with grad school in 2013).
this time, I found two grad level classes I really wanted to take at columbia. then i remembered this grant that would help me pay, applied for it and focused my intentions while writing the essay and the letter of rec (my boss signed it). they called me yesterday praising my app and my goals. they loved it and said it was one of the best applications.
i was shocked. then i said...okay this is what i'm suppose to do. this is reinforcement that I can do this...i'm on the right path but I NEED to focus if I want it all. so this formula of just doing for me, and not telling anyone and just focusing is what keeps working...because i didn't stress how would i tell ppl if i didn't get it...because they didn't know. so from now on, that's how i'm working it. i'm doing this for me...not no one else.
