this is a prime example of why its a bad idea to yell at your dog. we all make mistakes (including our pets). since they are people pleasers, its easy to guilt them into submission by raising our voice. unfortunately, they won't always be able to discern between different emotional outburst. it appears that you've conditioned your dog to associate yelling with his bad behavior. the best thing you can do for you AND your dog is to avoid yelling at him.
corrective behavior doesn't have to involve yelling. time, effort, discipline, & patience will do wonders for you and your dog.
in the meantime, you might wanna take it easy while watchin' your favorite teams LOL.
