coupled with the destruction of public housing projects and gentrification in Atlanta's urban core changed migration patterns across metro Atlanta, particularly in south DeKalb and Clayton. if i had time, I could test that by looking at African-American median income (in 2014 dollars) by census block and see if there were any major changes in the last 20-30 years. my GIS skills are shaky these days though.
