Planet Ill was really busy this week, addressing current events and trying to catch all of the notable releases of the week. Deisey’s number one angel Shelz got particularly busy putting in serious OT. She opened up with the Classic Clash between Boyz II Men and Jodeci’s best albums. From there she reviewed the new Ryan Leslie, broke down the new Keyshia Cole joint, “Desperate Measures,” and capped her week off with an appropriately ill review of Sha Stimuli’s My Soul To Keep.

We got the return of angel Fawn Renee with a dazzling account of Leona Lewis’ new opus- Echo, which, it turns out was appropriately titled. Look out for her Rihanna Rated R review tomorrow, Norah Jones’ new album Tuesday, and an informed editorial on the recent FTC ruling regarding bloggers. Not to be outdone, angel G.I.N.A. gave her opinion of the death penalty in response to the recent execution of the DC sniper. No matter what side of the issue you fall on, you should take some time, read, and chime in. Tune in for G.I.N.A. every Wednesday for the hot topics reflecting the world you live in and the return of He Say/She Say.

Malice Intended went back to the movies, giving you a preview of the new Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans. Look out for his review of Rakim’s new album The Seventh Seal, as well as his introspective piece on the evil that men do. The Rowdy One effortlessly switched gears with Thursday Night Football and gave you the picks early as well as the big stories in sports for that week. Before you call your bookie, holla at the kid. The boys get busy as well.

Batting in the three slot, is yours truly, the big homie. We had to give props to one of the greatest emcees that ever lived, Redman. From there we took it to the comic book-turned-movie Kick-Ass, with the main trailer and the preview. From there, the Planet lent its support to the Love N’Haiti movement and shed some light on their positive movement and the race to win a BBC grant as one of 12 finalists. Hopefully you read and made your voice count.

From there we were one of the first to get that Rihanna sampler out there to the masses, but a funny thing happened on the way to the market: it leaked. Review in the AM. At the same time, 50 and Beans turned the heat up on the Grey Poupon don with inflammatory track “I Go Off.” While we don’t hype these situations, we will stick to the music on it.

As always, the cherry on top is Indiesent Exposure, where DJ Fusion puts you up on shit you never even heard of but should be listening to. Open your ears and expand your palette. She gets busy as well
