>how you gonna clown a newjack for getting put on (granted 30
>myspace producers are gonna produce MAYBE a 9th wonder in that
>pile) and you aint got a track record left. lol. it aint like
>imma look at you like "well this cat made "come
>clean"".....imma lump you right in with those "myspace
>internet" producers trying to get put on. granted. we need to
>be more scrutinizing with the choices of music use. but in a
>dying artform....beggers cant be choosers.

i just think regarding ghostface..dude knew in todays climate going platinum or double platinum isn't a SURE-SHOT because you're a star.
So, he went cheap and start fucking with myspace newjacks and lesser known producers..because on average..a newjack could get a beat from a newjack for about anywhere from 500$-1k. and if the newjack producer is really in need of money..maybe 300$ for a track.
That cuts corners..so you won't spend so much on production and end up FLOPPING.

Stars have that leverage on NewJacks.
Like how Jay-Z can get ton's of free beats, just because The newjacks understand what could happen if Jay actually used they're beats.

I even heard 9th wonder say he would send lil wayne and ghostface a beattape and he can do whatever with it.. free shit.

>>Im headin 2 the club and i will post more on this but let me
>>say one thing...the rolling stones, springsteen, aerosmith
>>didnt have to put anyone on...so why does HOV.....

>cause the hip hop game is part "art" and part "harriet
>tubbmaning"---so im certain those cats have no "boys" that
>wanna get put on. and for the record. mick jaggar was VERY
>instrumental for giving Living Color a shot and a deal.

white rockstars put people on all the time..they just don't brag about it like hip-hop...hip-hop thrives off "co-signs" .."kanye saying no i.d., jay-z, dame, hip-hop, gee, d-dot, and 3H..they helped me ..etc etc.. "
for a newjack in hip-hop co-signs and helping hands are like BADGES OF HONOR...that show HOW DOPE YOU ARE... you're a nobody (in a music sense) and these Established Legends BELIEVED IN YOU!

Rockstar don't boast about that type of stuff..unless asked in a interview..and interviewers rarely ask rockers who put you on...assuming that they needed to get put on by somebody.
Rock Interviews are more about detailed questions about party life, and how the album came together and touring.....
