the lack of mistakes digital is a perfect medium drum machines are too perfect in keepin' the rhythm goin' see, the music that we all know in love was recorded on analog and made with live musicians, no sequencer to repeat the notes exactly like they were 4 bars before or whatever that means, whatever mistakes occured, got recorded, mixed, mastered, pressed, and played for the masses you hear all the singers wrong breaths, missed notes, flat/sharp notes all the musicians bumps, twangs, notes played too light/hard, wrong, etc. all that contributes to the emotional aspect of the music, that vibration that you feel you really have to go out your way to make mistakes with a drum machine and these digitally reproduced sounds... even when singin', one can go in and nudge the note to the correct note, etc.
we got music that's too perfect, and the thing is, emotion ain't a perfect thing it don't follow logic...it follows preferences and feelin's and then, we recordin' to a perfect medium, digital, no noise analog, the noise contributed to the imperfection in sound anybody feel me? ...a child is born with no state of mind, blind to the ways of mankind, god is smilin' on you and frownin' too, because only god knows what you gonna do...©melle mel
