this might belong in high tech, but it's music related, so i thought i might try here first.

i'm looking to upgrade my 4 year old laptop to a new joint, but i was wondering what specifically should i look for in a new one to optimize music producing potential. i'll also probly use it for serato so it has to be ultra stable. i'm asking for specs... processor types, speeds, ram, all o dat. specific models will aslo help.

i wanna be careful this time cuz the one i'm using right now tends to overheat when i sample, and often crashes when i try to record a mix. all suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
