Nice inexpensive mic with a large diaphram, sturdy enough to be able to take the typically loud vocals that rappers blast. Wind screens help alot with hard plosives (B's, P's, etc.). I have the luxury of having an actual vocal booth, so low end rumble from outside noise tends to not be a problem.
I still trot out the AKG 451 and Neumann u87 from time to time, but for everyday use, the AT3035 is plenty good enough.
