I'm new to this board and have a question about drums. I am familiar with drum break that Jay dee used for Slum villages " fall in love". His loop sounds somewhat different than the original.. it contains the same pattern and sound but it has more of a polished clean sound to it. Is this simply a matter of eqing your drum breaks and other percussion sounds.

Any help will be appreciated.
