...made me sob like a child. That is one of two movies that has ever made me cry. It's not just a dream sequence, it's a confirmation of the incredible loyalty his father has to him...he's willing to never see his son again in order to ensure he has a good life, and he has enough faith in his religion to believe it's okay that he won't see him for a while, because they'll meet in the afterlife...something about Brian Cox's incredible delivery of this monologue mixed with the exquisite shooting of this alternate reality by Lee touched me. It's one of my favorite parts of the film, and a fine example of the genius of Spike Lee. And I've seen Whale Rider, and it's damn good. Seeing as how I live in Florida, I'm still waiting on the others.
