>In post #9, as in so many other posts, you make sweeping >generalizations about people's opinions of Spike Lee and how >that affects what they say about his movies.
>People reply to say that not everybody hates him, and there >are plenty of people who like him. People, such as quoted >below, point out what is obvious to others that Spike has >enough fans...
*Yawn*
I'm not here for a consensus competition.
I don't know what percentage of people in the universe hate Spike versus those that love Spike.
I *DO* know that a higher percentage of his films receive irrational backlashes than any other director. I know he is the object of slander more than any other director.
So,
Relative to other directors, all my claims are 100% true, unless you want to find me the following of people who hate Jerry Bruckheimer as much Spike Lee.
>You respond by giving examples of critics who hate Spike, >information that, valid as it may be, does not address the >point the previous poster made.
Valid.
Valid.
Valid.
So is it valid?
Does any other director get this magnitude of consistent hatred for the press?
Was the negative coverage of 'Summer of Sam' unwarranted? Did it deserve to sweep New York city to the point where I was hearing more about his depiction of Italians than I was the actual film?
Right.
And yes, I'm right.
>Perhaps you hope the sheer volume of irrelevant information >will sway the casual reader. Perhaps your only goal is to >bludgeon us over the head with such ill-logic that you >appear to "win" the argument through attrition.
Talk about dodging. The above paragraph meant nothing.
>Perhaps you just can't read.
Cute.
>Regardless, you are good for a few laughs. I'm glad you ook >the bait and joined us here on planet earth for a few hours.
Cute.
I'm glad you agree though.
I gave you an actual scenario whereby Spike Lee hatred has had actual ramifications on his career...and example where Spike Lee wrongfully accumulated hatred....hatred that was completely baseless.
You come with....what again?
