ive read a couple of books about film schools and talked to a few friends who are in a couple of MFA programs in the US..and ALL of them got BA's in other areas HALF didn't even have experience (film classes) under their belts..
depending on where you go, many MFA programs (UCLA, NYU, Columbia, USC to name a few) want folk who can WRITE..many people have DONE a film short to be included in their admissions stuff and what not, but MOST students do not.

and here's one for the London International Film School: http://www.lifs.com i think this is it (if not, do a search for London International Film School) teaches you the same stuff as any other MFA film program, but you get done in less time (2 years as compared to 3 or 4 for MFA programs in the states)
