Except about the "gaps in cinematography", I'm not sure what you're referring to there. But yeah, I thought the script was weak, the kid was bad, and there was really no point. Was it supposed to be asking "is there honor amongst thieves?" Was it supposed to be a father-son thing? Was it supposed to pose questions about being a gangster and going to heaven? Or was it just a half-hearted, well-shot mishmash of all of those? Jude Law and Paul Newman's son were good though, I agree. The ending was predictable, and I felt no emotion at all, I didn't especially care who lived and who died.
