a lot African-Americans do have strong Native American ancestry and really don't acknowledge it that much. Maybe, since we're in a better position of influence, it would make sense to speak up for minority groups who don't have a voice, like Native Americans. Politics is a bitch though. What happened to the Native Americans(Any indigenous people for that matter) and how we were programmed to think of them (savages, animals, etc.) is probably the saddest story in world history.
