would you have agreed with the U.S. being invaded after the 2000 election debacle in Florida? that wasn't a very "stable" example of democratic government. i hope you're not supporting the idea that the U.S. should have the authority to determine which governments are "stable" or "unstable" and bomb said governments out of existence at will, whether they pose an imminent threat to the U.S. or not.
