An even bigger question is whether it is really possible to get folk to pay attention to the Earth around them when it affects the amount of $$$ they can put in their pocket.

Cigarettes kill. Everybody knows that, but that doesn't stop folks from making billions. Gas prices are ridiculously high, are we looking for cheaper fuel sources? Not really. We stress the importance of quality education for our childeren, but how many would agree to an increase in taxes to pay more to teachers?
