i do not know much about this...
but there has been discussion among those important circles of government to get rid of the Miranda Law ("you have the right to remain silent...etc."). not repealing the rights in the law itself...but having to recite them during an arest. why? proponents say that too many confessions or other evidence crucial to getting convictions have been tossed out on technicalities. opponents say it's unconstitutional...everyone won't have due process b/c they may or may not be aware of their rights.
