is that eminem had a HARD time growing up that strikes more similarities to inner city black and hispanic youth than suburban whites ... yet suburban whites (at least the ones that i have talked to) still see him as "one of them" and claim to be able to identify with him ...
whenever i hear that, i think of when i went to private high school and met the african american students there, who were mostly from affluent families ...
