You're right. But before that, he had strong beliefs that it was tht Black Muslims (put up to it by Elijah Muhammed-because of Malcom's break from B. Muslims and the amount of power he had as a leader). He noticed he was constantly surrounded by the Muslims, they were following him-in hotels, airports, etc. I can't remember exactly, but I think it was prob during the last year of his life. But soon, he began to realize that a lot of the stuff that was happening seemed out of their power. He then thought it was the gov't. That is pretty effed up. I wonder, where did the poster get the info that Malcolm was shot from the back??????? Was it a reliable source?????? When I read how he died, in the epilogue of "The Autobiography of Malcolm X," I couldn't help but cry--very, very sad. :'( When I think about what Malcolm would've done if he stayed alive a little longer, I think of great things, but I also think he might have been shoved into the same situation as Mumia.

"The choice, as every choice, is yours: to fight for freedom or be fettered, to struggle for liberty or to be satisfied with slavery, to side with life or death. Spread the word of life far and wide. Talk to your friends, read, and open your eyes-even to doorways of perception you feared to look into yesterday. Hold your heart open to truth." -Mumia Abu-Jamal (inside cover of "Unbound Project: Volume 1")
ATTENTION!!!If you have not read "THE AUTOBIOGRAPHY OF MALCOLM X," you MUST. I am now at forks in the road because of this book; it seriously changed me forever.
