This is the point I try to make to my friends who are now paralyzed by fear - they will not fly, they tell me to find a job outside of DC, they tell me to stock my cupboards with food "just in case..."
Fear is a self-fulfilling prophecy of sorts. What frightens one into inaction is bound to happen sooner or later.
