i have a suggestion: what about starting an okayplayer scholarship fund? i mean, many of us are students who are trying to pursue education with the goal of helping society, and who are BROKER than BROKE trying to do it. So what if we pooled our resources to create a scholarship fund for okayplayers who meet certain criterion (to be determined, but an example would be that they are studying something which will contribute to the growth and development of society--such as education, environmental law, etc. etc.--they will mentor a younger okayplayer in their area, or just a younger person in general, and so on). We could establish a review committee--we would have to make sure that folks on the committee were impartial--and perhaps we could even get outside funding to add to what funds we can come up with ourselves?
This idea just popped into my mind as i read this thread because i was thinking that giving to charity is important, AND it is also important for us to support one another in our efforts to create a society where charity is second nature, if not entirely unecessary. So whatchall think?
