Honestly, sometimes I think the whole "sexual orientation" idea is bogus as hell. It leaves no room for the reality that sexuality is very fluid for all of us, whether we are accepting of that or not. I use the "gay" label b/c of the 3 biggies, that's the one that most describes my desire. I believe we all have the capacity for same sex and opposite sex desire, and I know we all experience each of those at some point in our lives. But I am NOT saying we are all innately "bisexual". So really the nature vs. nuture thing has little meaning to me b/c it's so caught up in "The Matrix" of the Big 3 Labels. I can't think inside that box - not for real.

Nothing is that simple. I played w/Tonka trucks and Barbie dolls when I was a kid. It has nothing to do w/the fact that I dig guys.

I think the quest to discover what makes some of us queer is homophobic at its heart. I mean, what if one day scientists are able to isolate a gene that causes queerness? Will parents then be able to genetically-engineer str8 kids? Will they come up w/therapies to control that queer gene? Will it be (re)classified as a disability?

Why should does it matter why some of us are queer? Can't we just BE who we are? Does there need to be a "reason"?
