Hello, all. Encouraged by Utamoroho's "next level" post and poetx' "make this a resource" post, I thought of an idea to develop a national activist online resource for youth and adults, hosted by the university where I teach "Media & Community Building". One of the projects could include media literacy/activism/mentoring.
UMass Boston has a new Community Media & Technology Program (see http://www.cpcs.umb.edu/cmt/) and I am confident that my connection to the program as an adjunct faculty member would help to generate support for the project (host). As a matter of fact, if other posters have similar college connections this could really fly.
Also, I am involved with AT&T's Youth Leadership program with American Connects and I am sure they would be interested in partnering.
