Embracing a energy dynamic intent on domination leads to self-destruction. There's no way to justify fear, except acknowledge it and transcend it. There are some folks who try to justify it and some can't acknowledge it. At this point, self-hate enters in. The only way to deal with fear is to have the courage to reject it or seek truth and love, authentic purpose and intent.
For example, when I was a little girl my attention was on everything around me that said _________ image is ideal (thin, blonde, fair skin, etc.) I came to believe it and lost sight of the connection to self & my purpose. I had low self-esteem and wanted to hide from the world. Eventually, I thought of suicide (of course this wasn't the only reason).
I used to watch TV for at least 8 hours a day, esp. soap operas. I was like the girl in Toni Morrison's "The Bluest Eye". I became afraid of the world, of myself. After intervention, I stopped watching the soap operas and started working on improving my self esteem. When I was 13, I learned that I had been worthy and beautiful all along. I began to reject my conditioning, thus, no more self-hatred...and no more fear.
