Here are a few for the New England sports fans.
Jim Rice. Not necessarily obscure, but certainly not getting his due by the HOF voters. He is the man.
Mosi Tatupu, Hawaiian short yardage back for the Pats, he got to try the '85 Bears defense with the rest of them. The name says it all though.
Anson Carter. I suppose that a black hockey player can't remain too anonymous, but he lit it up at Michigan State and held it down for the Bruins.
Reggie Lewis, may he rest in peace. Would have been a head cornerstone if it were'nt for his heart. (Got to throw out Len Bias here too, even though I didn't follow his career much. It was a big loss in Bean Town. Oh what the Celtics could be.)
