Interracial dating itself is not the problem, in my eyes but its the dating mixed with the color caste system on top of racial oppression that's causes things to blow up (check my response a little higher up). I don't know who the director of the movie is, his/her ethnic background or politics, but it seems insensitive, careless, and maybe even exploitive to use that cultural event as the backdrop for that particular scene. Do you understand my point? The negative response the Roots received could've easily been predicted and remedied especially if the crowd was more aware that a movie was being filmed and the float was better...all of which Quest said DIDN'T happen.

As far as judging couples, that's not the point - shit I'd have to judge my own family. But I can have my opinion, and give my pov about what is going on. I find it funny that cats @ this site judge all the time (what's art, what's good music, how Jayz feels about hip hop culture, how Master P doesn't care about black people because of the music he makes, how unthoughful the crowd was @ the W.I. parade, etc.) but then you tell me not to judge a person based on their actions. People make judgements all the time.
