Yeah, caught them at Deer Creek.. which never schedules anything like that. There's always one hip-hop/r&b/slightly urban show at the very end of the summer that doesn't get promoted as part of the regular lineup.
The big concert ("Hoosier Rap Daddy") was a fiasco... it was supposed to be in Bloomington and test the waters for a new Deer Creek (cough, Verizon Wireless Music Center) that would have been in Bloomington.
HOWEVER, some residents of a certain area of town filed a late-term lawsuit concerned with "disturbance", coincidentally late enough so that it couldn't be resolved in time for the show. (please note: disturbance my ass! I'm pretty sure this lawsuit said something about the 'wrong kind of people')
It had to be moved to the Indiana State Fairgrounds, a horrible venue, and it killed ticket sales (which were already lower due to a $55 price). The promoters got taken to the cleaners. Not a whole lot hiphop wise has happened in Indiana since then...
