"Common's "Funky For U" woulda been a ill video"


          

The video coulda been like a Soulquarian impromptu jam session. The shots coulda been setup in the studio and maybe a li'smokefilled club. It woulda been off the hook!

Quest, Poyser and Jay Dee as the band, wit Jill Scott and Bilal setup as the background singers. Guest shots with Q-Tip, Mos Def, Kweli, Hi-Tek, Lucy Pearl, Erykah Badu, Pops, The (rest of) Roots, Vinia Mojica, Macy Gray etc.

The end of the song, when Bilal does his thing, would switch to a 70's type of feel...like a Marvin Gaye concert.

Now tell me this wouldnt have been a blazer!!!
