I feel you, believe me I do... but one day I tried to feel these brothers instead of seeing them through my often critical eyes, and honestly it became a little more clear. True, big sold for things he "wanted", and the next brother on the corner selling for street cred, or because he just dont no any damn better, why-because his momma didnt know any better. Unfortunately many of us are still stuck in this cycle that began when they let our grandparents out of shacks with no money, no land and (more importantly) no education or sense of true self worth and love. Some of our people (by divine strength) overcame it, but inevitably some didnt. ANd you cant teach your baby anything that you yourself dont know. Sure we dont HAVE to sell dope, or become rappers or ball players but truth is that still in 2005 we got to work thrice as hard to get the same outcome as the frat boy next door who's momma bought him a car on his 16th birthday or the business woman living good because she was left 100 acres of farm land from her grand parents....
