i feel like i'm back in high school..."who the best rapper? kane, rakim, or krs?"
funny i was just reading an unfavorable review of TTP in blender(or blander) and they were saying BT was basically the weakest link. i don't agree and think that mag is full of sh*t and a$$kissing.
i personally love how BT keeps progressing but i don't think things are so black and white anymore. the main reason IMHO thought is on coming off so well is that the whole "band situation" really gives him room to do his thing in the best light and move forward. i KNOW for sure if KRS had a band/crew that consistantly held down the instrumentals like the rest of the roots do he'd be viewed as just as great or better than BT. i've never seen someone rock a pre-recorded(DAT) set as hard KRS. and that time his dj's record was warped and started to skip...KRS tells him to keep letting it play and he changed his rhyme style to the skipped beat...infamous. he's easily on the same level or better as BT anyway you slice it, but he needs some of that questlove production guidance and band backup before y'all realize it.
