"iTunes for Windows Vista, i need help"

I just upgraded to Vista yesterday, and I can't get iTunes to run at all. Everything I've read concerning iTunes' issues with Vista have been in regards to either syncing with the iPod, CoverFlow, or album artwork. My issue is that I can't even get the program to even run. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling about 4 times now. I go to Task Manager, and iTunes is running as a process at about 16k of memory usage. Am I missing something? If it helps at all, I did regular update from XP to Vista. In retrospect, I guess I should have did a complete wipe first, as that probably would alleviate some of the issues I'm having with iTunes (and Windows Media Player as well... lol, no music for me it seems). Any ideas?
