mostly the same enemies as the previous two games, no real progression mechanically, wonky companion AI (still), major story content locked behind a paid DLC character, extreme narrative dissonance in "you have to save the galaxy NOW! or whenever you finish these 100 side quests, whatever," completion % locked behind participation in MP or excessive grinding, that fucking stupid child and the dream sequences (so trite), femshep's run animation. i'm sure there's more
not necessarily a bad game but definitely a step down from ME2. i remember the ending in particular being a major point of contention for a lot of people. fwiw it did play better than 1 and 2, but it still played like a below average 3rd person shooter
