"Comcast internet question..."

So I have cable internet for computer use in the office. I bought a blu-ray player and modem for the living room in order to use the Netflix Watch Instantly. Comcast is saying I have to pay an additional $44 fee for an additional internet service. I couldn't believe they wanted more money than the $200/month I already pay them. Does anyone else do this? Any alternative suggestions?
