"My cat just broke my T.V."
Sun Apr-20-08 11:53 AM by handle

It's a Sony KV-34XBR960, possibly the finest consumer tube television ever created.

I had to lock my cats in the TV room for about 4 hours yesterday while having the house painted. One of them (the long haired cat) had a hairball while sitting on top of the TV, over where the vents are lcoated. Liquid from that event must have dripped down and hit the power supply and HD input boards.

After drying out for a day the TV will occasionally start but have no sound or picture ony any inputs, and the screen size is oddly contorted and shrunken (like when the power supply goes bad.)

So the cats either
1)Handed me a big L losing the old TV
-or-
2)Enabled me to buy a new, larger TV

Just thoguht I'd share.

(And I'm not getting rid of the cats.)
