I'm starting a new blog, and things might have changed significantly since last time I needed hosting or blogged. Years ago, I did a collective blog with a few other bloggers, but as the collective fell apart, so did the blog.

High Tech, can you help a player out?

So my first question is, who has the best hosting and domain name registration? Previously, I hosted with my local ISP and registered with Network Solutions.

Also, I'd probably like to use Blogger (or a similar service) to post, so what service is best to use for that? Ease of integration to basic html is a plus.

Finally, what ftp client should I be using (I think I used WSFTP before), and is it still best to start with basic html or should I look into css?

This is basically the setup I had for my last blog, but I tend to learn and forget things when necessary. It hasn't been necessary for me to be up on this stuff in awhile.
