for the record, if you go no-contract on T-Mobile (aka buy an unsubsidized phone), then your monthly bill is $10 less. the more important thing, imo, is that if you happen to have a no-contract MyTouch and you want an Evo 4G, then you can easily purchase the Evo 4G without violating your previous contract
