Virtual Console/WiiWare was a big draw for me. And the types of games that come out for the Wii are closest to my taste since I'm not into FPS or the latest thug-simulators. Lots more casual stuff as well - I have more non-gamer friends than gamer friends so these sorta simple games get more people to play. Rather than sit on the couch and watch. Also, since I'm older, work a full time job + have other interest I don't really have time/interest/focus to spend 60+hrs to put into the latest epic Metal Gear or Final Fantasy. A good portion of the gamess I own on Wii are games I can play for a bit, put down, and come back to when I get the time. I still haven't finished "Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess" or "Okami" but, "No More Heroes", "Wario Land: Shake It", and others have been completed while games like "Endless Ocean", "Mario Kart", & "Wario Ware: Smooth Moves" get quite a bit of replay.
