You're making the simple simon mistake of conflating the greatest team w/ the greatest player. Steph has been on the superior team time and time again vs. LeBron. In fact, this will be the 5th time that LeBron's team has been the underdog in the post-season vs. Steph's team. Steph hasn't even been the best player on his own team in some of those series, let alone the best player in the series - which has always been LeBron James.

Steph being as great as he is provides further testimony to how elite the LeBron era has been. Kobe, Duncan, Steph, Kawhi, Giannis, KD etc etc
