The fans don't seem to care that Zayn lost to Dunne months ago or Knoxville in s comedy match almost a year ago. They're respondinG to him NOW, after months of building him as part of the Bloodline (and revitalizing the group, truth be told).

Sami is huge over right now, and they really should strike while the iron is hot. Triple H and Vince might have been holding out hope that The Rock would come back for one WM night or banking on Cody being the right guy to win the belt, but they run the huge risk of backlash. Whenever they've insisting on telling people what they want rather than giving it to them, they've done so at their own peril.

Things have changed enough in the last thirtysomething years that Sami doesn't need an extended Sting-type build to make him win the big one. The fans are ready for it to happen, and the risks their ire if they try to shove an alternative down their throats.
