2780642, Okay, so who buys the WWE? Posted by mrhood75, Fri Jan-13-23 03:21 AM
1. The Saudi Arabia PIF. Even though those initial reports that McMahon already negotiated a sale are being shot down, the general consensus is that they're the front-runners.
2. Disney. Nick Khan apparently met with them on Wednesday.
3. Shad and Tony Khan. There have been a few reports that the Khan family is interested and are in a "pool of potential buyers." Obviously it would be more like a merger, but with the two having like 12 hours combined weekly national TV time, almost all of it "prime time," makes it a lot different than the WWE/WCW disaster of almost 25 years ago.
4. Some other large media corporation, a la Amazon, NBC/Universal, or Netflix.
5. Shane, backed by some other wealthy conglomerate. Obviously I doubt this one is going to happen. To my knowledge, it hasn't even been mentioned as a remote possibility. But I'd find it funny that decades after Vince Sr. gave Vince Jr. a sweetheart deal to buy him out, Vince would "return the favor" to his own son.
6. Someone/some other corporation entirely.
