>Embiid is leading the league in scoring
Jokic scores 7.8 PPG less than Embiid, but Jokic's 4 and a half more assists per game than Embiid more than make up for that. And he shoots a whopping *ten percent* better from the floor than Embiid. And he turns the ball over less than Embiid.
He is indisputably the better, more efficient offensive player of the two.
>Is Kevin Durant still alive? Is Jokic a better offensive >player than him?
Yes. Kevin Durant is probably the best iso shooter/shot creator on the planet. He is better than Jokic at that, no question. But Jokic is no slouch at shot creation (especially as a big man), and he's more efficient with his shots, and he's a better offensive rebounder *by a lot*, and he's a better passer by *a looooot.*
Now, if you want to argue that Durant is better to have in a playoff situation due to defensive versatility and the value of perimeter offense in the playoffs vs. post/mid-range offense in the postseason? I think that's a very reasonable argument.
But no player has been better on offense the last three years than Jokic-- and, again, it hasn't been especially close. He's been on an absolutely historic offensive tear, combining points, rebounding, assists, and shooting efficiency in a way that... very, very few players in the modern NBA ever have.
