I think it is easier to act up like that when someone expects you to be good. Now, most of earth assumes he's irredeemably horrible and well below average. With that, he might not be able to get on a field for anyone if he doesn't at least try to act right.

That said, I think he's a joke and not worth bringing in from an on the field asset.
