No matter what the truth of the matter is (we don't have it):

all of this shit is because Deshaun

1) questioned the racist practices of Texans ownership to a level it got national attention (post-Kaepernick)

2) when they traded away key players on the team, Deshaun sat out with a no-trade clause and a contract that paid him regardless

3) got over 200 million guaranteed from the Browns, resetting the market for top-tier QBs in the NFL (this is one of the reasons he got 11 games instead of 6).

any other explanation is coming from people with terminal liberalism brain who want it to be one way, but it's the other way.

the NFL, Buzbee, media gives 0 fuck about any of the allegations beyond them facilitating the NFL's agenda (which in part, is seeing the Houston Texans ownership as the real victim).

if Deshaun was a scrub from which they couldn't mine $$$ and attention from, he'd have gotten Ray Rice'd or Kaepernick'd. there was a lot of kayfabe going on here, even when you consider he could have been out for the entire year (even though it was against the NFL's own standards).

Deshaun still has legal matters to sort out. he's served a suspension, and we know the reason(s) why, official and otherwise.

all of this other shit is virtue signaling nonsense so that the NFL looks like "responsible capitalists".
